Mountaineer Country Tours, LLC, based in Kingwood, West Virginia, began operations in 2006 offering outbound tour planning, receptive and step-on guide services, and entertainment. We offer a wide variety of tour options for motorcoach tours.

Services include:

Receptive Operator/Step-On Guides for northern West Virginia, and nearby western Maryland, and southwestern Pennsylvania.
Retail tours that anyone can sign up for and join in on the fun.
Customized outbound tours for your group, including motorcoach transportation or airfare.
Entertainment for tour groups, organizations, parties, conferences, conventions, etc.
Off-site tours for conventions and conferences.

Owner/Manager, JoAnn Peterson, a proud West Virginia native, has eleven years’ experience in receptive services as a tour coordinator, marketing specialist, step-on guide, and entertainer. JoAnn grew up in Fort Ashby and is a graduate of West Virginia University. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Frostburg State University and is a member of Kingwood Rotary and Beta Gamma Sigma, national business honor society, and is on the board of the Arts Council of Preston County. JoAnn is a professional actor, an accomplished singer and playwright, in her spare time!
